The images show that the Powerbeats Pro looks identical to Apple’s currently existing Powerbeats earphones, sans a cord that would otherwise keep the earbuds connected. The Powerbeats Pro also look more sport orientated; offering adjustable ear tips and over-ear clips for a more customizable fit.
Like the AirPods 2, the Powerbeats Pro comes with a charging case. Charging the case itself is conducted via the Lightning port located around the back. Granted that the Powerbeats is similar to the AirPods 2, the case may come with support for wireless Qi charging as well. According to one report, the Powerbeats Pro will also be powered by the same H1 chip as the AirPods 2. Apple claims the H1 chip offers better connectivity and battery life, as well as Siri support. The report also suggests that the Powerbeats Pro will likely be made available sometime in April.
At the time of writing, Apple has not released any official announcement for the Powerbeats Pro yet. Considering the images were found inside the iOS 12.2 update, it’s safe to say that the earphones’ release could be fairly soon. (Source: 9to5Mac // Images: 9to5Mac)
