For a start, the new MacBook Air now runs on a 10th generation Intel Core i7 quad-core CPU with a boost clock of 3.8GHz. It also comes with up to 16GB LPDDR4X RAM running at a frequency of 3733MHz and double the basic storage capacity at 256B. And a maximum SSD storage capacity of 2TB. As with its predecessor, the new MacBook Air also retains its 13-inch Retina Display and its Force Touch trackpad. Plus the usual fare of Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports for data transfer, charging, and external display support for 6K resolution. The new MacBook Air also receives the Magic Keyboard that was first introduced on the MacBook Pro 16 that launched last year. The keyboard features Apple’s redesigned scissor mechanism, delivering 1mm of key travel for what the brands say is a more “comfortable and stable key feel”. The new Apple MacBook Air will retail at a starting price of US$999 (~RM4369). At the time of writing, Apple Malaysia did not specify local pricing and availability, but if we’re to look at Apple’s habit for product launches over the last couple of years, it’s likely such information will be made available very soon.
