As opposed to the other Apple Thunderbolt 3 cable that is available over there, the Pro cable comes in black which is not a common colour when it comes to the company’s first-party cable. Furthermore, it is also much longer at 2 meters as opposed to the other option which has a length of 0.8 meters. Additionally, the newly released Pro cable also comes with a braided sleeve that allows the cable to coil without tangling and likely some added durability. Aside from that, the new cable is still designed to deliver data transfer rate of up to 40 Gbps alongside up to 100W Power Delivery and DisplayPort video output, just like the shorter 0.8m Thunderbolt 3 cable. Priced at RM 649, the new Apple Thunderbolt 3 Pro cable may cost much higher than an equivalent non-Apple variant. But of course, it is natural that some users prefer first-party accessories for their devices so that they can obtain peace of mind.
