Incidentally, the announcement was made on the same day as Mega Man 11‘s release in Japan, which is today. The game’s Mega Buster will also be making an appearance in the Deluxe Edition of the upcoming Devil May Cry 5.

It remains to be seen if this adaptation will fall victim to the unfortunately well-established stereotype.
