The drone deliveries will be managed by Average Drone Sdn Bhd, and their Express Food six-propeller drones. These drones can take up to 800g in weight. They are capable of flight during light showers, but not during heavy rain.

As for the delivery service, it will cover a two-kilometer radius from the Futurise Centre of Cyberjaya. The deliveries should take no more than 12 minutes, and the delivery charges is set at RM2.50. Only seven types of food are planned to be offered during the trial period, with more being added after the three-month trial period. An app is also being drafted to help customers order their food. Hamdee Hamdan, CEO of Average Drone Sdn Bhd, said that if the response is good, the company will modify the drones to take up to 3kg in weight. While not explicitly stated, this may open up more delivery possibilities beyond food. (Source: Bernama. Image: Bernama via Malay Mail, The Star)
