GamesIndustry.biz reports that the organisation also said that E3 2021 will be “reimagined”. But there’s no description as to what the reimagined event entails, or its difference from the usual annual event. This year’s E3 event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak, with the announcement being made last month. At the time, the ESA was considering turning the event into a digital one to be streamed online instead. Despite this, the association has yet to provide any updates on the matter so far.

It seems a little too early for the ESA to be talking about E3 2021. After all, it hasn’t even sorted out what will happen for 2020. You’d think that it should take care of this year’s event before looking at next year’s iteration of it. For what it’s worth, some attendees like Microsoft Xbox have already committed to holding digital events. But on the flip side, you also have Sony PlayStation, which announced it long ago that it won’t be a part of the event for two years in a row. (Source: GamesIndustry.biz. Image: E3 / Facebook)
