In case you aren’t familiar with it, MagSafe is essentially a magnetic mounting system with built-in wireless charging support that is integrated directly into iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models. Naturally, Apple has crafted several first-party products to help launch the new ecosystem.
In fact, Apple has listed several of them on Apple Malaysia’s website. One of them is the basic MagSafe charger which is priced at RM 179 and still can be used to charge other devices that support Qi wireless charging standard although the magnetic attachment only works with iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro Series. However, we have previously mentioned that the USB-C charger does not come with a power adapter though. So, do remember to purchase a USB-C power adapter if you don’t have one lying around and if you prefer a first-party model, Apple has a 20W adapter for RM 99.
Aside from the charger, other first-party MagSafe accessories that Apple has listed on its Malaysian website include the Silicone Case and Clear Case which are priced at RM 219 each. There is also the iPhone Leather Wallet that goes for RM 269. At the time this article was published, none of these MagSafe accessories are available for purchase. However, things may change at 9:00 PM tonight when Apple begins to accept pre-orders for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro Series through its Malaysia website alongside Apple Authorized Resellers and telco partners all over the country.
