Given its status as an unreleased product, its presence at the upcoming event in Putrajaya is generally one of the rare chances for members of the public to check out the device in person. However, we have yet to receive confirmation from Huawei whether visitors to the showcase will be able to touch and experience the device themselves or have to see it behind a protective display case. Of course, Mate X is not the only attraction at Huawei’s booth during 5G Malaysia Showcase. Being the company’s first public 5G event in Malaysia, Huawei plans to display plenty of 5G-related subjects including Smart Manufacturing, 4K Drone live broadcast, cloud-based face recognition system, Smart Healthcare, Smart Agriculture, and Ruralstar network. Taking place at Kompleks Perbadanan Putrajaya, the 5G Malaysia Showcase will be opened to the public on 20 and 21 April. The showcase area can be accessed from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on both days. If you want to learn about the Mate X first before you head out to the showcase, check out our hands-on experience with the device right here.
