GamesIndustry.biz reports that Kojima Productions has established a division that’s dedicated to music, TV and film. Said new division is based in Los Angeles, California, and will be essentially exporting the games to other facets of popular culture. The new team will be led by Riley Russel, who previously spent 28 years with PlayStation. Being just established, it will be awhile before we see anything being put out by the new Kojima Productions division. And considering the studio only has one game in the form of Death Stranding, that’s also all the new division has to work with. But it does beg the question of “what would a Death Stranding movie look like?” Not like it’s a difficult thing to imagine, considering the game’s premise and plot. Of course, Hideo Kojima has his most well-known work locked behind the vaults of Konami. There have been multiple attempts at making a Metal Gear Solid movie, and the most recent attempt had cast Oscar Isaac as Solid Snake late last year. (Source: GamesIndustry.biz, IGN)
