In the video, the top of the OPPO Reno shows huge cutout for the pop-up camera. The camera system is slightly larger than the average and it elevates partially on one side. The benefit of having a larger size allows it to include a speaker and front-facing flash without compromising the bezel on the display. Specs-wise, Brian Shen, the company’s VP, confirmed on his Weibo account that the OPPO Reno with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC will use a heat-conducting gel and graphite sheet to dissipate heat. The higher-end model with the Snapdragon 855 SoC will feature the 10x lossless zoom camera feature, and deal with heat dissipation via a copper tube and liquid cooling. In the case of the video, the phone seen in it comes with a dual camera array without the 10x zoom sensor and fingerprint sensor. On a related note, this suggests that the OPPO Reno could ship out with a side mounted scanner or an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Beyond the video and renders, no additional information was provided. Further, OPPO itself has yet to make any official announcement about the Reno smartphone lineup. (Source: Slashleaks, Gizchina // Images: Weibo)
