Being the successor to the original Leica Q which was launched in 2015, the Q2 also brings an updated OLED viewfinder as well as a new OLED back display to view photos and settings on the camera. The camera also features a 28mm f/1.7 Summilux ASPH. lens. To compensate for the lack of zoom, the Q2 features crop modes for 35mm, 50mm and 75mm equivalent images. A note for photography enthusiasts out there: the camera still able to output to DNG RAW files for better image post-processing later on. Leica has simplified the controls of the Q2 by removing the mode dials. While users still get direct access to shutter speed on the top dial and aperture right on the lens, they have to use the 3-inch OLED touch display to check your ISO settings. For the first time, Leica includes 4K UHD and Cine4K video recording into its compact camera series. It also connects via WiFi and Bluetooth for instant image and video sharing with connected smart devices. We have reached out to the Leica Store in Avenue K, Kuala Lumpur to obtain further details and have since learned that Leica is bringing the Q2 to Malaysia for an eye-watering price of RM 22,350. It is expected to be on sale by the end of this quarter, so do make sure to check out outlet if you want to get your hands on the Q2 or other Leica products. (Source: DPreview)
