First off is the Lenovo Legion Slim 7i, which the brand touts as the world’s lightest 15-inch RTX-enabled gaming laptop. It is encased in a streamlined all-aluminium body with a weight of up to 1.8kg, depending on the desired hardware configuration upon purchase. As mentioned earlier, the laptop features a 15.6-inch display with narrow bezels and supports a choice of either UHD (3840 x 2160) with 60Hz refresh rate, or FHD (1920 x 1080) WVA with 144Hz. Alternatively, a 4K display with 60Hz refresh rate option is also available if you prefer a higher resolution output.
The Legion Slim 7i is able to support up to 10th gen Intel HK series processors, starting from the Core i5-10300H to the Core i9-10980HK. Along with it is a choice of either 3200Mhz or 2933Mhz DDR4 RAM, both offering from 8GB and up to 32GB. Storage-wise, the laptop sports up to 2TB via M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. In the graphics department, users can opt for the device to feature an NVIDIA GeForce GTX1650 Ti, GTX1650 Ti with Max-Q Design, or a RTX2060 with Max-Q Design. Additionally, the Legion Slim 7i also features external eGPU support via Thunderbolt 3.0.
Other than that, the new gaming laptop includes a fingerprint reader on its power button, a top-placed HD Webcam with Privacy Shutter, Killer WLAN or Intel WiFi 6 support, Bluetooth 5.0, two 2W Dolby Atmos speaker system, and a choice of either a Corsair iCUE RGB keyboard or a standard one with white backlight. Connectivity-wise, the Legion Slim 7i features a 4-in-1 SD card reader, an audio jack, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and two Thunderbolt 3.0 ports. Powering the device is a 3-Cell 71WHr battery with Rapid Charge Pro support.
Next up is the Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 convertible series which are capable of functioning as a laptop or a tablet, thanks to their 360-degree hinge. The device offers a choice of having either 15.6-inch or 14-inch displays, which are also available in two configurations: UHD (3840 x 2160) IPS with VESA Display HDR or a FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS screen. The convertibles are encased in a sleek metal chassis that weighs from 2kg (15-inch) or 1.4kg (14-inch), and includes a pen accessory that is garaged within its body for storage and charging. The 15-inch variant features 10th gen Intel Core-H i9 or i7 processors, along with up to 16GB DDR4 RAM. Lenovo did not reveal the choices of processors to come along with the 14-inch version, but noted that it will feature next generation Intel Core CPUs that are “coming soon”. The Yoga 9i will feature PCIe M.2 SSD storage of up to 2TB on the 15-inch, while the other model goes up to 1TB. The former features an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti and the latter will rely on the latest Intel integrated graphics controller instead.
Other features for both models include a rotating soundbar with Dolby Atmos (four speakers, two woofers and two tweeters), a smart sensor touchpad, webcam with privacy shutter, ultrasonic under-display fingerprint reader, and a battery life of up to 18 hours. Connectivity-wise; the Lenovo Yoga 9i series comes with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 support, one USB 3.1 gen 2 port, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports.
Lastly we have the Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i laptop, which the brand promises to offer lightning-fast responsiveness, long-lasting battery life, and stunning visuals. It features either a 14-inch UHD (3840 x 2160) IPS display with VESA Display HDR, or a FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS screen. The device is encased in a metal body that weighs from 1.26kg.
Like the 14-inch Yoga 9i convertible, Lenovo has not confirmed the selection of processors and noted that it will feature next-gen Intel Core processors with the latest Intel integrated graphics controllers. Memory-wise, the laptop will feature up to 16GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 2TB of internal storage via PCIe M.2 SSD. The new Yoga Slim 9i includes two 2W Dolby Atmos front-facing speakers, a smart sensor touchpad, webcam with privacy shutter, and battery life of up to 20 hours (FHD) or 10 hours (UHD). Besides that, the device comes with Intel 2×2 WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 support, three USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, and an audio jack.
The Lenovo Legion Slim 7i will start at EUR1,299 (~RM6,452), the 15-inch Yoga 9i convertible at EUR1,999 (~RM9,930) and its 14-inch variant at EUR1,799 (~RM8,935), with all three devices releasing starting October 2020. The Yoga Slim 9i laptop, on the other hand, will be available starting November 2020 and is priced at EUR1,899 (~RM9,432).
