Specifically, the rear camera setup consisted of a 16MP f/1.9 107-degrees super wide-angle, 12MP f/1.5 standard angle, and 12MP f/2.4 telephoto cameras. On the front part of the phone, it features 8MP f/1.9 standard angle and 5MP f/2.2 90-degrees wide-angle : cameras. The three rear cameras also feature digital image stabilization and HDR for video recording with a resolution of up to 4K at 60fps. For slow-mo captures, users are able to achieve that through the 240fps mode at 1080p resolution. Not to forget, the phone also comes with a rather unique mode called Triple Shot where all three cameras can be used to capture photos simultaneously. The resulting images captured through this mode can be combined into a single video or GIF. Other features of the smartphone include 6.4” FullVision QHD+ OLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, 6GB RAM, and up to 128GB internal storage. The phone also comes with built-in 32bit Quad DAC and BoomBox speakers to ensure the quality of its audio output.
The V40 ThinQ is also designed to withstand dust and water according to IP68 standards as well as MIL-ST-810G certification. Completing its general specifications is a 3300mAh battery that supports Qualcomm’s QuickCharge 3.0 fast charging technology. In the United States, the phone is priced at between USD 900 (about RM 3732) to USD 980 (about RM 4064). There are no words on when we will be able to see the V40 ThinQ in Malaysia but based on our past experiences with LG Mobile, don’t expect it to be out in our market anytime soon.
