Just to make this clear though: Newegg didn’t establish a dedicated office in Malaysia. Well, at the very least, this is definitely not another attempt to revive the sketchy joint venture effort from a few years ago which eventually met its demise at the end of 2013. This time around, Newegg is doing it directly from the United States. To cater to the crowd in Malaysia, Ringgit Malaysia has been implemented into the site’s interface although weird enough, the company also includes GST in its calculations which has since been replaced by SST. At the same time, the pricing that is shown on the Newegg site for Malaysian is likely to be different from those on the United States’ site. Not to forget, there are additional costs such as shipping and customs fee.
So, make sure that you have done your homework before committing to your purchase through Newegg. For further information, just head on to its website for Malaysian consumers right here. (Source: Newegg – 1, 2, 3, 4.)
