For fixed broadband, TIME Internet has expanded its H1 2020 lead into the second half of the year. Just like the first half of 2020, the fibre broadband company achieved almost double the Speed Score which is Ookla’s own metric that it uses to represent the speed range that operators are able to deliver to their customers. Just like in H1 2020, TIME is leading the latency chart while Maxis is ahead of TM even though the telco’s fixed broadband service mainly utilised TM’s infrastructure. The ranking repeats itself under Ookla’s Consistency Score chart as well.
Ookla’s Q3-Q4 2020 analysis for Malaysia has also noted that the city that has the fastest mean mobile download speed was Nusajaya with 35.87Mbps. On another hand, Petaling Jaya has the fastest mean download speed for fixed broadband at 109.55Mbps.
