The new Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro sports a similar in-ear design and low latency connectivity as its predecessor, but now features major improvements Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) support and THX certified audio. It features 10mm drivers, 20-20kHz frequency response, and is claimed to not output frequency distortion at high volumes. Much like its predecessor, the Pro model promises to provide a minimum latency of 60ms when used in Gaming Mode.
In terms of noise cancelling, Razer says that the earbuds feature Advance Hybrid ANC which utilises two external microphones and two internal ones. Each earbud is able to support independent playback which allows users to utilise just one earbud. Activating the new Quick Attention Mode on the Hammerhead Pro will “disable” the ANC and use the microphones to pick up external audio. Another mic is located at the bottom of the device and is used primarily to pick up your voice for calls and audio chats.
For maximum comfort, Razer includes seven different ear tips along with the Hammerhead Pro, which comes in varying types and sizes. Part of the selection are three “SecureSeal” tips that offer a more stable fit for activities such as running or working out, and three “SmoothComfort” tips that promise comfortable use over extended periods.
Speaking of which, the earbuds are claimed to provide four hours of battery life with ANC enabled. A redesigned charging case that comes with the Hammerhead Pro will offer four top-ups, totalling up to 20 hours of use on a full charge. The case supports USB-C charging but does not include any wireless charging capability.
The new Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro will be available for purchase in Malaysia on Christmas day, 25 December 2020. The device will retail at RM949 and sold exclusively via the official Razer website. (Source: Razer press release)
