The poster shows a detailed outline of the phone with the words “Real Galaxy” written in the middle of it, as well as the O-shaped cutout situated at the top-left of the display. Graphically enhanced with an artisitic rendition of what is assumed to be a Galaxy. At the bottom of the phone, you’ll find the official launch date, accompanied by Chinese characters that are presumably teasing the phone’s upcoming arrival. Apart from that, the poster does not share any additional detail regarding the phone’s specifications.
That said, The display of the Samsung Galaxy A8s is expected to measure in at 6.3-inches. And while still unconfirmed, the phone is expected a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC (or Samsung’s Exynos equivalent), up to 6GB RAM, and a 24MP sensor for the front-facing camera in the cutout. Samsung’s choice of a launch date for the Galaxy A8s is no mere coincidence. Huawei had also recently released a teaser poster of its own phone with a punch-hole display, the Nova 4. That phone is also slated to launch this month on 17 December, which clearly means that Samsung is adamant on beating its Chinese competitor to the punch (no pun intended). (Source: Weibo)
