To boil it down to the simplest terms, Samsung says that it is more or less on track in the development of 6G and that research is ongoing at its Advanced Communications Research Centre, set up in May last year. On another note, Samsung says that the commercialisation and availability of 6G will only be feasible early as 2028, while mass commercialisation may only happen sometime in 2030.
Samsung also says that where 5G focused on performance, 6G will add two more focus pillars: architectural and trustworthiness. On that note, it expects 6G services to be capable of peak data rates of one Tbps (terabits per second) with an air latency of less than 100 microseconds.
