When it was announced back in May, Sony claimed it as the lightest 5G phone on the market. While we are not sure whether the claim is still valid, it is indeed a very lightweight phone at only 161 grams alongside a thickness of 8.3mm. The Xperia 10 IV is essentially a mid-range model if you’re looking solely at its Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor. The phone is also equipped with a 6-inch Full HD+ OLED display in 21:9 aspect ratio and also features Sony’s Triluminous technology which the company adapted from its years of dabbling with TV although the display refresh rate is rather basic at just 60Hz. On the photography side of things, the Xperia 10 IV features a tri-camera setup on its back which includes a 12MP f/1.8 Exmor R main camera alongside an 8MP ultra-wide camera and another 8MP telephoto camera that offers a hybrid zoom capability of 10x. There is also an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies. Only two colours will be available in Malaysia at launch. [Image: Sony.]Even though a 3.5mm audio jack has started to become a rarity in the market, the Xperia 10 IV does come with it alongside the ability to deliver Hi-Res Audio output. The phone’s Hi-Res Audio feature also caters to users that prefer wireless headphones via its support for LDAC. The IP65/68-rated phone also features a 5000mAh battery and supports USB PD fast charging. While Sony recommends its 30W Fast Charger XQZ-UC1 for the phone, the charger does not come standard with Xperia 10 IV and has to be purchased separately. Under the pre-order program which will last until 31 July, customers will receive a freebie in the form of the WF-C500 true wireless in-ear headphones. (Source: Sony Malaysia / Facebook.)
