Besides taking the mobile chipset down a notch, the NEX Dual Display will also come with 8GB RAM. 2GB less than the original model. For context, the original NEX Dual Display features a Snapdragon 845 SoC and 10GB RAM. Another change to the phone is the camera. Whereby the original NEX Dual Display had a 12MP + 2MP + TOF camera setup, the mid-range model will reportedly come with a 12MP + 13MP + 2MP setup.

Aside from those differences, it looks as if the mid-range variant of the NEX Dual Display will still sport the same hardware. This includes the same dual 5.49-inch Full HD OLED at the back of the phone, as well as the 6.39-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display at the front. Other than that, it will also retain the same in-display fingerprint scanner, run Android 9 Pie out of the box, and house a 3245mAh battery. At the time of writing, Vivo still has not provided an official launch date of the phone. Having said that, it is already likely that the brand could launch the phone a little later down the road, so as not to cannibalise the sales of the original NEX Dual Display smartphone.
